BONUS: Facets - ’Bears, Berries and Brews’
Friday Jul 08, 2022
Friday Jul 08, 2022
This summer, we’re excited to share a new limited podcast series from KHOL and Stio in the Jackson Unpacked feed. In five episodes, Facets explores the passions, tensions and healing that people find while living in a mountain town.
The first episode, “Bears, Berries and Brews,” is about agriculture in Wyoming, which has historically centered on grain and livestock. But Wyoming’s only cidery, Farmstead Cider in Jackson, is looking to change that, presenting a new model for sustainable agriculture–all while pushing the boundaries of culinary palates. KHOL’s Emily Cohen explores how climate change is impacting Farmstead’s business model in some unexpected ways, as well as how the cidery helps mitigate human-wildlife conflict.
Jackson Unpacked airs locally at 89.1 FM or via live-stream Mondays at 7:30 a.m., Tuesdays at 3 p.m., Fridays at 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and Sundays at 12:30 p.m. Support Jackson’s only nonprofit newsroom by becoming a member of KHOL today.
